Aliza Green, the Philadelphia-based cookbook author and pioneering chef, is the author of six food books. Her Beans: More than 200 Delicious, Wholesome Recipes from Around the World (Running Press) appeared in New York Times and Boston Globe features on top cookbooks of the year. Field Guide to Meat (Quirk Books) has earned praises from Food & Wine and Real Simple; Field Guide to Produce (Quirk Books), was highly regarded by the New York Times, Newsday, Men's Health, and Shape. Her newest book, Field Guide to Herbs & Spices (Quirk Books) is now on the shelves, and she is working on Field Guide to Fish & Seafood for next spring. Susan Silberstein is Executive Director of the Center for Advancement in Cancer Education, which she founded in 1977 after the death of her young husband to cancer.
